  44. News Of The Day (NOTD) is a MS/Windows based messaging system that 
  45. allows a network system adminstrator to conditionally display a 
  46. message at startup.  The design of NOTD allows it to work in any 
  47. network (Novell, LAN Manager, Baynan, Windows for Workgroups, Lantastic, 
  48. etc...) that allows NOTD to be installed and executed from a shared 
  49. directory. Each user must have unique INI files also.

  51. NOTD supports three modes of operation:

  53. 0 - Display a new message to a user only once
  54. 1 - Display a message once a day for a defined life span
  55. 2 - Display the message at every Windows startup

  79. to be accessed by all users on the LAN, and 1MB disk space.
